Kameelah “LADY k” Whitaker, M.B.A. is a multi-faceted master SPEED braider and licensed cosmetologist! Although well-rounded, she specializes in braids as well as other methods of protective styling! Born Kameelah Hill, this San Francisco Bay Area native followed in her mother’s footsteps, becoming a braiding machine!
As a very young girl, she would stand next to her mother (when working on a client) and mimic her mother’s movements and speed as she crafted beautiful, luxurious, and trending braid styles. LADY K then began to braid on her own at the age of thirteen.
nOW WITH 30 YEARS IN THE BRAIDING INDUSTRY, lADY K HAS TAKEN ON THE TASK OF “BUILDING BETTER BRAIDERS” WITH HER IN-PERSON AND ONLINE CURRICULUM! tHE GOAL IS TO TRAIN BRAIDERS AND BUILD AN INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF SPEED BRAIDERS!

Charlette and Charlene Richardson are newly trained, passionate braiders who have courageously switched careers to embark on a beautiful new journey in the art of braiding. After a year of hands-on training with master speed braider, lady k, they are excited to bring their growing skills, gentle touch, and positive energy to the Love Love Twins Kiddie Corner at Speedy Braids.
They specialize in medium box braids for children, focusing on neat parting, age-appropriate styles, and a calm, caring experience for every child (adults also welcome). The Love Love Twins are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and kid-friendly environment where little ones feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated. Charlette and Charlene are honored to serve your family with patience, professionalism, and love love.
